1K thermal imaging, intelligent sensing and extended flight time in a compact enterprise drone built for demanding missions.
A clearer view, day or night.
From locating heat signatures during an emergency to inspecting critical infrastructure, the DJI Matrice 5T brings thermal and visual imaging, advanced flight sensing and intelligent tools together in one portable aircraft.
Find the detail that matters.
A native 1280 × 1024 thermal camera captures four times the pixels of a 640 × 512 sensor. Enable UHR Infrared Image mode for enhanced output up to 2560 × 2048.
Use spot and area temperature measurement to investigate thermal anomalies, and capture radiometric images for further analysis. Thermal and visual views help give operators more context in the field.

Sensing for complex environments.
Rotating LiDAR, millimetre-wave radar and an omnidirectional vision system work together to support obstacle awareness and flight positioning.
- Rotating LiDAR helps detect obstacles, including wires, under supported conditions.
- mmWave radar adds sensing capability in environments affected by fog, rain or dust.
- Low-light vision supports positioning and situational awareness when light is limited.
Performance depends on the environment, speed and characteristics of the obstacle. Refer to DJI’s operating guidance.
Follow the line. See the detail.
The Matrice 5T uses its rotating LiDAR to detect supported power and ground wires, then follow them laterally as their height changes. This helps inspection teams capture a closer view of conductors and identify potential defects or foreign objects.
An RTK connection or a pre-built 3D model is not required for line following. For photos used to locate defects afterwards, an RTK correction source can improve positioning.
If an obstacle is detected near the line, the aircraft brakes and hovers; the pilot must navigate around it before resuming. The feature currently saves inspection photos from the zoom camera.

More time to get the job done.
With up to 59 minutes of flight time and an IP55 rating, the Matrice 5T gives teams a capable platform for inspections, public safety and other time-sensitive operations.*
Up to 59 minutes
Spend longer observing a scene or inspecting an asset on a single flight.*
IP55 rated
Protection against dust and water supports work in challenging environments.*
Fast charging
The 515W charging system can charge a battery from 10% to 95% in approximately 31 minutes under DJI’s test conditions.*
Turn what you see into useful information.
Built-in AI models can detect more than 20 target types, including vehicles, vessels and fires, using visible and thermal feeds. This can help operators identify points of interest during public safety, security and inspection missions.
Open onboard computing also supports compatible third-party AI models, giving organisations scope to develop detection tools for their own workflows.

DJI FlightHub 2 cloud detection
When connected to DJI FlightHub 2, search for targets using text or image prompts and receive detection alerts through a cloud-based workflow.
AI patrol routes
Outline an area to generate a patrol route, with supported actions such as hovering, capturing images or video, and broadcasting audio with an optional speaker.
Designed to adapt
Custom AI models require development and integration. Available functions can depend on software, firmware, network access and the operating environment.
Stay connected in complex environments.
DJI’s O4 Enterprise Enhanced transmission system, 4G Enhanced Transmission and relay options give teams more ways to maintain a connection around challenging terrain and structures.
Airborne relay
One Matrice 5T can relay the signal for up to two additional Matrice 5T aircraft. Additional aircraft are required, and relay availability depends on local frequency rules and operating conditions.
Built-in 4G modules
Dual built-in DJI Cellular Dongle 2 modules support 4G Enhanced Transmission. Compatible mobile service, data and coverage may be required.
Flexible configurations
Smart Relay and supported relay topologies can help work around signal obstructions. Plan flights within the applicable rules and the aircraft’s operating limits.
Built around your team’s workflow.
DJI Pilot 2 custom plugins
Developers can add tailored functions as floating windows inside DJI Pilot 2. DJI’s developer ecosystem also supports compatible integrations through Mobile SDK, Payload SDK and Cloud API. Custom solutions require separate development or compatible third-party software.
RTK, mapping and modelling
Built-in RTK supports precise positioning with a suitable correction source. Compatible DJI Terra workflows can produce 2D thermal maps for temperature analysis, while in-field modelling and Smart 3D Capture help teams plan and assess aerial data collection.

Frequently asked questions.
What can the Matrice 5T’s AI detect?
Built-in models can detect more than 20 supported target types, including vehicles, vessels and fires, using visible and thermal imagery. Detection depends on the target and operating conditions; custom models require development.
Can the Matrice 5T follow power lines?
Yes. Its power line inspection feature can follow supported conductors laterally and adjust to changes in line height. RTK is not mandatory for this feature. The pilot remains responsible for the flight and must navigate around obstacles before resuming.
Can the Matrice 5T work as an airborne relay?
Yes. A Matrice 5T configured as a relay can support up to two additional Matrice 5T aircraft. Additional aircraft are required; availability and performance depend on frequency permissions and the operating environment.
Is a flight battery included?
No. The DJI Matrice 5 Series flight battery is sold separately and is required to operate the aircraft. Contact our team to discuss how many batteries you need.
Can the Matrice 5T fly in the rain?
The aircraft is IP55 rated when operated in accordance with DJI’s instructions. DJI advises against flying in rainfall greater than 100 mm in 24 hours. Protection can decrease with wear, so check the aircraft and follow the user manual before operating.
Which speaker and spotlight are compatible?
The Matrice 5T uses the optional DJI AS2 Speaker and DJI AL2 Spotlight. They are different from the AS2D and AL2D accessories for the Matrice 5TD and are sold separately.
Is the Matrice 5T compatible with DJI Dock 4?
No. DJI Dock 4 is designed for the Matrice 5TD. The Matrice 5T is operated with the DJI RC Plus 3 Enterprise remote controller.

* Maximum flight and hover times were measured by DJI in controlled, windless conditions without payloads and with the battery discharged to 0%. Actual times vary. The 2,239 g aircraft weight includes a battery, propellers and microSD card; the flight battery is sold separately in this listing.
AI, detection, relay and mapping features are subject to DJI’s supported operating conditions. FlightHub 2 cloud features require an appropriate connection; software services, accessories or subscriptions may be required. D-RTK 3 is supported in Base Station mode only.
UHR output is enhanced from the native thermal sensor resolution. Zoom, laser range and charging figures were measured under DJI’s specified conditions. The maximum laser range was measured with 25% target reflectivity and 8 km visibility. The 31-minute charge time is from 10% to 95% at 25°C using the 515W charging system. IP55 protection is not permanent and can decrease with wear. Operating temperature is specified without solar radiation. Some pictured accessories are sold separately.
